Sublingual

Sublingual alludes to the pharmacological course of care by which substances diffuse into the blood through tissues under the tongue. Numerous medications are intended for sublingual handling, including cardiovascular medications, steroids, barbiturates, benzodiazepines, opioid analgesics, proteins and, progressively, vitamins and minerals.
