Alcohol Withdrawal
When a person has become addicted to alcohol and suddenly stops consuming the alcohol, the body will go through what is known as alcohol withdrawal. The withdrawal symptoms from alcohol can be life-threatening. The symptoms can include nausea, vomiting, increased heart rate, headaches, insomnia, sweats, and anxiety. More severe withdrawal symptoms are known as delirium tremens or DTs. These can include high blood pressure, hallucination, seizures, fever, extreme disorientation. Changes occur in the brain which may, during withdrawal, have trouble regulating heart rate, breathing, etc.
