Adventure Therapy

Adventure therapy (AT) is a multi-disciplinary approach to mental health. This therapeutic modality combines outdoor experiences that provide the client with life skills, problem-solving, communications skills, respect for one’s environment, mind, and body. It helps the recovering substances abuser (alcoholic or drug user) learn to experience pleasure in health, life-affirming ways, builds coping skills, and self-esteem.
